GLOWORM Semen Stain Tracing Reagent
The current main method for searching for semen stains is the light source (blue light, ultraviolet) excited fluorescence method. This method has two defects. First, crime scene environments are often very complex, and under light source excitation, many substances emit fluorescence, causing effective semen stains to be missed or incorrectly identified. Second, when the amount of semen residue is very small or diluted, optical methods cannot detect trace amounts of semen at all, leading to the omission of key evidence.
The GLOWORM Semen Stain Tracing Reagent enables rapid screening and localization of potential semen stains at sexual assault crime scenes and in laboratories, eliminating interference from non-target stains and detecting trace amounts of semen. The reagent is ready to use directly from the bottle. Spray directly. Upon contact with a semen stain, it immediately produces fluorescent substances that emit bright light under 365nm UV light, targeting only semen stains. It is suitable for substrates such as underwear, fabrics, floors, furniture, sinks, leaves, grass, and gravel.
